About Me

Hello, my name is Debra Russell. I am the proud owner of Windswept Hair Design & Salon. I am a Greenwich, CT native and completed my cosmetology training at the National Academy of Hairdressing in Stamford Connecticut. Upon completion in 1986, I attended further training at Goldwell International in Baltimore MD, Toni & Guy in Dallas, TX, Graham Webb International in Washington, DC and Vidal Sassoon in Toronto Canada. I worked at a prestigious salon in Greenwich, CT for 18 years where I got invaluable hands-on experience and perfected my foiling technique. Family brought me to Sunny Florida where I worked in a Salon in west palm beach for two years then transferred to Jupiter and took a position in a very well known Salon called Total Image Salon & Spa. After working at Total Image for 14 years, I have earned an immensely loyal and satisfied clientele and I try to continue to earn the business and trust of new clients each day.

My specialties include hair cutting and styling and I am a master colorist. I have a great expertise in highlights and corrective color. I believe I am one of the few stylists that uses the John Gunther method of foiling which ensures natural and effective results. I try to continually attend training to improve my techniques and learn cutting-edge styles. In 2010, I was recognized for my entry in a Goldwell master color contest demonstrating my desire to build upon my talents.

After 31 years having a wonderful career and working for 3 top salons in 3 different towns, I decided to start my own business where I can give my clients the VIP treatment they deserve.
